I love watching my client's blossom. Christina, you have grown so much over the last year and everyone is so incredibly proud of how far you've come and are all so excited to see where you're headed.
She is strong. She is trusting. She is serene.
Take me out to the ball game- and if there's no game, let's make one! Let's meet at the field and run around till the sun goes down. This is how we like to "family session."
I'm passionate about wearing your body with pride so of course this mama and I instantly clicked when she told me she wanted to incorporate all of her comfort into her maternity session. A little something for her and later we took off to catch the sunset for her family portraits. Nothing better than a little mix of the two.
Let him be wild. And so I did. And I wouldn't have had it any other way.
Can we all take a minute to appreciate the beauty and bravery of any family willing to stomp through high grass in Arizona? The mosquitos were out on this fall evening but not one single complaint, just pure joy for every single one of them. These are my kind of people.
You counted right, that 5 (five) golden retrievers. And every single one of those pups are absolutely in love with the family's newest addition, Logan. A beautiful baby boy with a smile on his face 98.5% of the time.
They shined bright on this warm fall night, radiating a glow the sun couldn't even create. Their love for one another can be felt through a digital screen and is contagious. This family of three couldn't be more perfect.
How lucky am I to have such beautiful people in my life everyday. A family of 4 couldn't have been more fun to capture. Hashtag blessed <3
Everytime I get the wonderful opportunity to shoot this family I am always so impressed with how camera ready they are, striking poses and ready to express their comfort in front of my lens. A true model family making my work easy peasy.
When I bought my house I knew it was the one because of the whimsical walking trails in the middle of the desert. I spent many mornings strolling around looking for thee perfect spot. This is mine.
And these are some of my favorite people. These three have recently found out some big news! Scroll down to find out what!
They are expecting a baby come March! Congrats guys! What better way to announce it than to indulge themselves in a mini session in the desert!
I can't wait to be your birth photographer + doula!

When all three of your kids are about to graduate and move on to middle school and high school, call me. Who said graduation photos are just for seniors (and humans)?
This family has stolen my heart & I'm perfectly okay with that. We ventured off to our dreamy location and did the best thing for an early sunrise session, have fun. We ran, explored, and laughed. The memories we create are my favorite part of shooting.
I'm speechless looking over these photos. Halle is beyond beautiful. Halle is a kind spirited girl that radiates joy and has her world in the palm of her hands. How sweet it is to be 17.
The joys of early morning shooting. Sun-drenched images, bright eyes & energy galore! To top it all off, my clients are breathtaking!
Chasing light and love simultaneously is one of my greatest passions & that's exactly what this family wanted me to capture for their family holiday photos, light & love.
It's all about the memories.
"Lets find an irresistible location that will makes desert dreamers drool."... and just like that, we ventured off, found our perfect place, and shot till we absolutely had to leave. I could have shot this family for hours. The thirty minutes we spent here made me feel at home. You four are beautiful!
We woke up with a different type of blood running through our veins this Sunday, orange blood.
Some know, some do not, my husband plays football for the Broncos. It is a tremendous honor being able to be a part of his journey through the NFL. This is a peek at what our day looks like on that one day we all look forward to every week. It's game day in Denver and the Mathis household can hardly control our excitement.
We are fortunate enough to have family in every so often, and this Sunday some of my husband's southern family members came to join in on the day's festivities (all while helping with the two munchkins, thank heavens!) Nothing warms my heart like a good southern accent!
We piled in my mom mobil and headed to Mile High Stadium. From the very moment we hopped out of the car, we all felt a rush of that contagious Broncos energy. The place was flooded with fans creating a sea of orange and blue, and just a sprinkle of purple here and there (#MINvsDEN.) Ila loves her cousin, or she loves the amount of lollipops he shares with her.
Making it to our seats by kickoff is one of my biggest priorities. Every game it's like my kid is making his first appearance on stage for his first school performance. The National Anthem, Thunder II, parachuters, fireworks; all this leads up to the boys running out of the tunnel. To say the least, it's a pretty big deal and I refuse to miss it.
Tbh, game day is the one day we all want to last forever all while wishing it would be over as soon as possible. Winning is important to us but getting Daddy home safe is our prime interest.
We like to play around too, I mean, we kinda have to with two little ones on us.
The game was close. At one point Evan was getting more hyped than I've ever seen him. He was screaming at the crowd to make noise, stand up, and terrify the Vikings with our uproar. His energy was contagious.
That did it, fam. Broncos won, and I am incredibly convinced it has all to do with the crowds commotion created in that last minute of the game. We end our evening with a celebratory shoot on the field.
(Getting a three year old to settle down during any shoot can be difficult. Most of the time, I just have to let them go and that's when I get some of my best images.)
Our day didn't stop there. We followed Evan out as he made sure to sign ever autograph request. What. A. Guy.
I don't think Ila minded to much either. She would follow Evan around, and made sure everyone knew that he was HER Daddy. These are the memories.
Needless to say, everyone fell asleep on the drive home. 4-0 can make everyone a little exhausted.
GO BRONCOS!
or as Ila likes to say "GO HORSIES!"
